Hovercraft is a type of vessel with dynamically support craft, which can high-speed move on rather small distance between water and paved surface (amphibious hovercraft) and air cusion, formed by supply air under bottom.
Air cusion – is layer of compressed air under the bottom, which pick up the vessel above water and earth sheet. The surfaces rubbing absence allows to decrease motion resistance. The vessel’s exploitation ability in areas with different obstacles depends on hoist.

The main hovercraft advantage are follows:
- speed;
- navigation period is not limited – hovercrafts can operated in summer and in winter as well;
- hovercrafts can overclimb the vertical bench of about 1 m.
