“Marine Technics” supplied diesel geared unit for hydrofoil

In June, the Moscow branch of the Group of Companies “Marine Technics” with the support of engineering center MT supplied the diesel-gear unit (hereinafter – DGU) to the new hydrofoil of the project 23170 “Vakdai-45R”, building in Nizhny Novgorod.

DGU consists of a marine diesel engine MAN D2842LE410, the capacity of which is 1100 hp/2100 rpm, reverse gear ZF and connecting flexible coupling Centa.

In our country hydrofoil was not serially built for many years. The project 23180 is the first hydrofoil in a long time. A 21-meter “Valdai-45R” will transport up to 45 passengers with the speed of up to 60 km/hour. The composite materials and aluminum alloys were used in his construction.
