Built general service boat by Alexeev’s Hydrofoil Design Bureau

Nizhny Novgorod. May 16. NTA-Privolzhye – The general service boat, built be Alexeev’s Hydrofoil Design Bureau, was launched in Nizhny Novgorod.

According to the correspondent of Agency “NTA-Povolzhye”, who was at the launching ceremony on May 16, the vessel of the project 21770 is designed for towing works, transportation of people and small loads, carrying out the lightweight diving to depth up to 12 m.

Maximum speed is 32 knots, the cruising range at the maximum fuel capacity is 116 miles. The range of variation of air temperature is from – 10 to + 35 degrees with humidity of up to 90%, the temperature of outside water is from -2 to +32 degrees.

The project of the vessel was designed by JSC “CMDB “Almaz”, the boat was made by Alexeev’s Hydrofoil Design Bureau for JSC “Shiprepairing Center “Zvyozdochka” in less than a year.

According to the General Director of Hydrofoil Design Bureau, Sergey Dementiev, the vessel is built in the framework of the development of the own production site.

“Our plans include the building of three more “Katrans”, - noted Sergey dementiev. – “It is necessary to restore the productive competence”.

According to the Director for innovative development, marketing and foreign trade of Hydrofoil Design Bureau, Sergey Korolev, initially the bureau carried out the vessel’s design, and it lasted for many years, but the “development strategy has chosen with the arrival of new team”.

Now, the Bureau not only design the ships, but also builds them and intends to continue this in the future. As Sergey Korolev noted, Hydrofoil Design Bureaus intends to build the vessels with the displacement of up to 250 tons at the own production facilities.

It should be noted that the Bureau already had the production experience before the “Katran” – no so ling ago, CDB released the high-speed hydrofoil boat “Dolphin V2”. By the way, CDB intends to perform this project, as indeed ‘Katran”, during the International Maritime Defence Show, which will be held from June 28 to July 2, 2017 in Saint-Petersburg.
