In Yakutsk, on May 23, the Director for innovation development of “R.E.Alexeev’s Hydrofoil Design Bureau”, Sergey Korolev performed the river passenger hydrofoil of new generation “Valdai 45R”, reports TASS.

According to it, the vessel will undergo the experimental operation during the World CUP 2018 in Saint – Petersburg.

Let’s remind,, that the average age of water transport, operated in Yakutiya, is 38 year with an average norm of 25 years, that is why,  there is an acute issue of vessel’s replacement to modern types.

According to the Minister of transport and road management of Yakutiya, Semen Vinokurov, more than 100 remote settlements of the Republic are not equipped with mooring infrastructure, so it is necessary for them to buy vessel, which do not require this infrastructure.

“It small vessels have suitable new vessels, there is no viable alternative among the high-speed fleet, which can go long distance. Therefore, now, we study this market in details”, - said Vinokurov.
